Origem(s) - Fotos / Photos

A mostra colectiva Origem(s), que comemorou o 20º aniversário da Galeria Municipal do Montijo, terminou no dia 3/10. Foi uma honra ser convidada para integrar esta selecção de talentos locais, tendo tido oportunidade de falar dos meus trabalhos na finissage, que ocorreu no final de Setembro.

Após expor pinturas na anterior colectiva, optei agora por exibir ilustrações, que caracterizam os meus trabalhos mais recentes. Tendo exposto em Maio ilustrações do livro My Dear Leporino e desenhos do baralho de cartas Gatos Baralhados, regressei ao projecto Aurora Boreal, inédito em galerias na margem sul e cuja edição do ciclo inicial foi concluída há um ano.

Aurora Boreal e O Princípio Infinito, do escritor José de Matos-Cruz, editado por Apenas Livros, foi um desafio incomum, sendo convidada a conceber visualmente a protagonista e a ilustrar capas de capítulos, o que me fez a tutora gráfica da personagem, pois fui quem primeiro a ilustrou na série anterior e a representou na BD que fez a ponte para esta nova série.

O meu conceito para esta personagem de poderes incomuns foi de retratá-la como um espectro que flui entre espaço-tempos, podendo ela surgir na forma de criança, adulta ou idosa.

Na forma principal, criei um super-fato que somasse características essenciais dos seus pais, reflectindo isso algo da Era espacial-retro, enquanto que certos detalhes são alusivos à própria heroína. Uma referência fulcral foi a visual criado pelo ilustrador Zé Manel (1944–2019), para a mãe da Aurora.

A nível gráfico, desenhei as imagens em formato A3 e finalizei-as digitalmente, com tons azuis e realces brancos. As ilustrações em Origem(s) são a imagem promocional da série, a capa de livro e duas capas de capítulos; veja a totalidade de imagens criadas para o projecto AQUI.

The collective show Origem(s), which celebrated Montijo's Municipal Gallery 20th anniversary, ended on 10/3. It was an honor to be invited to join this selection local talents, having had the opportunity to talk about my works on display at the finissage, which took place at the end of September.

After exhibiting paintings at the previous collective, this time I chose to display illustrations, that characterize my recent works. Having exhibited in May illustrations from the childrens book My Dear Leporino and drawings of the deck of cards Shuffled Cats, I opted to return to Aurora Boreal, never displayed at south bay galleries and whose publication of the first cycle was completed a year ago.

Aurora Boreal and The Infinite Principle, by writer José de Matos-Cruz, edited by Apenas Livros, was an unusual challenge, having been invited to visually create the protagonist and to illustrate cover chapters, which made me the character's graphic tutor, since I was the first to illustrated her in the previous series and for drawing her in the comic-book that bridged this new series.

My concept for this character with unusual powers was to portray her as a specter who flows between space-time, and may appear as a child, adult or an elder. In her main form, I created for her a suit that adds essential features of her fictional parents, thus reflecting some elements of the retro-space age, while certain details are allusive to the heroine proper. A chief reference was the original look that illustrator Ze Manel (1944–2019) had created for Aurora's mother.

At a pratical level, I drew the images in A3 format and finalized them digitally, with blue tones & white highlights. The illustrations in Origem(s) are the series promotional image, the book cover and two chapter covers; see all the images created for the project HERE.

Origem(s) - Collective Exhibition / Exposição Colectiva

A Galeria Municipal do Montijo comemorou o seu 20º aniversário em Julho e iniciou o ciclo de celebração com uma mostra de talentos locais inaugurada a 14 de Agosto, que estará patente até 3 Outubro (no expediente de 2a-feira a Sábado, das 9h-12h30 e 14h30-17h30).
A colectiva intitula-se Origem(s) e reúne dezoito artistas, de vários percursos e gerações, representando uma larga variedade de géneros artísticos, tais como Banda Desenhada, Desenho, Escultura, Fotografia, Gravura, Ilustração, Instalação artística e Pintura. Entre os talentos em destaque estão Daniel Maia, Delmira Espada, Edite Coelho, Eduardo Martins, Enrique Williams, Filomena Morim, Guida Casella, João Barroso Silva, João Rodrigues, José Fragateiro, Mariana Marote, Mariana Teixeira, Peço Moço, Sara Loureiro, Susana Resende, Susy Bila, Teresa Carreira e Teresa Carvalho.
O município também publicou um catálogo que figura uma selecção de trabalhos dos artistas, mais as respectivas biografias, com uma tiragem limitada de 350 cópias, que está disponível gratuitamente.

The Montijo Municipal Gallery celebrated its 20th anniversary in July and begins a comemorative cycle with an exhibition that showcases local talents, which opened August 14th and will be on display until October 3th (from Monday to Saturday, during the hours of 9h-12h30 and 14h30-17h30).
Tthe show is titled Origem(s) / Origin(s) and brings together eighteen artists from different backgrounds and generations, representing a wide variety of artistic genres, like Comics, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Engraving, Illustration, Artistic Installation and Painting. These artists include Daniel Maia, Delmira Espada, Edite Coelho, Eduardo Martins, Enrique Williams, Filomena Morim, Guida Casella, João Barroso Silva, João Rodrigues, José Fragateiro, Mariana Marote, Mariana Teixeira, Peço Moço, Sara Loureiro, Susana Resende, Susy Bila, Teresa Carreira and Teresa Carvalho.
The municipality also published a cardstock catalogue featuring a selection of artwork from the artists plus their respective biographies, with a limited printrun of 350 copies, which is available for free.

Still Lives & Grotesque series | Séries Naturezas Mortas & Grotescos

A fechar as partilhas sobre a participação no projecto Aurora Boreal, refiro agora algo diferente: uma exposição falsa, dentro doutra exposição. Mais concretamente, a retrospectiva d'O Infante Portugal no 23º AmadoraBD (2012) foi composta por 3 mostras: colectiva com desenhos da trilogia; antevisão da adaptação do herói para BD, para sintetizar a personagem a novos leitores e fazer transição da trilogia para a nova série; e outra exposição, designada de Naturezas Mortas, pelo pintor Nero Faial.

Wrappin-up the showcases on my participation in the Aurora Boreal project, I'm now referring to something different: a mock-exhibit, within another exhibition. More specifically, The Infante Portugal retrospective in the 23rd AmadoraBD (2012) was composed of 3 shows: a collective exhibition with the trilogy's drawings; a preview of the hero's adaptation into comics, with the aim of synthesizing the character for new readers and transitioning from that trilogy to the new series; and another exhibit, Still Lives, by painter Nero Faial.

 

Ora, Nero Faial não é senão a identidade secreta do inimigo d'O Infante Portugal nos livros, conhecido por Vulcão, que na vida real é um pintor malogrado e curador da Fundação das Artes Narcissistas, bem como meio-irmão de Aurora Boreal. Achámos caricato expor uma mostra falsa, com quadros próprios da bizarria daquele, na qual foram usadas pinturas minhas que, nem a propósito, criei em 2003, o mesmo ano em que o primeiro livro foi escrito!...

Now, Nero Faial is nothing less than the secret identity of Infante Portugal's nemesis in the books, known as Volcano, who in real life is an ill-fated painter and curator of the Narcissistic Arts Foundation, and Aurora Boreal's half-brother. We found it funny to show a false exhibit there, with images proper of Nero's bizarreness, for which we used paintings of mine that, curiously, were created in 2003, the same year in which the first book was written!...

Nestes quadros, que iniciei com a minha primeira pintura a óleo, quis explorar a uma versão literal de “naturezas mortas”, inspirada em parte por uma fase inquieta da minha vida pessoal. Assim, transmiti nas obras o negrume que me afectava, e subsequentemente desenvolvi uma série tangencial, intitulada Grotescos, onde a expressão tosca e bizarra esteve em destaque, em parte inspirada nos esgares extremos do videoclip de “Black Old Sun” da banda Sound Garden (1994).

In these paintings, where I did my very first oil canvas, I wanted to explore a literal version of "still lifes," inspired in part by a restless phase of my life. Hence, I transmitted into these works the blackness that was surrounding me, and subsequently developed a tangential series, titled Grotesques, where the crude and bizarre expression was in center stage, partly inspired by the haunting facial expressions of Sound Garden's "Black Old Sun" videoclip (1994).

 

Inclusivamente, à imagem de exposições verdadeiras, foi exposta uma Folha de Sala sobre o “autor” e também críticas, uma negativa e outra exultante, pelos personagens fictícios Jacinto Magno e Lúcio Olímpio, que transcrevo abaixo:

A ARTE FATAL: A arte resgata-nos da matéria precária ou imperfeita que nós somos, em memórias e tradições. Por isso, as Virtudes Plásticas deveriam aspirar, para maior sublimação, ao alcance com a transcendência. A beleza, o êxtase, a fruição, a luz e a cor - eis elementos que estimulam um renovo do olhar... Mas, aqui, há apenas o sobressalto e deletério." --Jacinto Magno

In addition, in the image of true exhibitions, a Room Sheet on the "author" was also available, as well as two criticis, one negative and another exultant, by the fictional characters Jacinto Magno and Lúcio Olímpio, which I transcribe below:

Esta exposição, para a qual contribuí cenograficamente, foi comissariada por Ana Taipas e montada por Carlos Reis. Em suma, tratou-se duma curiosidade que ligou as minhas raízes na Pintura a este meu primeiro trabalho no ramo da Ilustração. Como que um caso da Arte a imitar a Vida, ou ao contrário.

This exhibition, to which I contributed scenographically, was commissaried by Ana Taipas and designed Carlos Reis. In short, it was a curiosity that linked my roots in Painting to this, my first work in Illustration. Like a case of Art imitating Life, or vice versa.

II Barreiro IlustraBD

O 2º Barreiro IlustraBD abriu portas no passado dia 27 Abril, no AMAC/Auditório Municipal Augusto Cabrita, numa parceria entre aquele centro cultural e artista barreirense João Raz, coordenador do Desenhos, Inks e Rabiscos. O salão, novamente focado no autor nacional, oferece mostras de banda desenhada, ilustração e cartoon, por mestres do sector, autores renomados e novos talentos, proporcionando também espaço para breves conversas com autores, que ali apresentaram novidades editoriais, futuros projectos e destacaram trabalhos anteriores. O AMAC acolheu ainda uma área de beco de artistas onde os visitantes podiam conversar com os autores presentes.

Pela minha parte, após uma exposição de BD em 2018, participei agora com uma mostra de ilustração infanto-juvenil, dos projectos Gatos Baralhados, Contos de Sabedoria e outros. Integrei ainda a colectiva Iniciação à Arte Sequencial, com amostras dos trabalhos finais dos meus alunos destes cursos, que serão editados na antologia BD Montijo, para a qual criei a imagem da capa.

The 2nd Barreiro IlustraBD opened its doors on April 27th, at the AMAC/Augusto Cabrita Municipal Auditorium, in a partnership between that cultural center and artist João Raz, coordinator of blog Desenhos, Inks e Rabiscos. The event, again focused on portuguese authors, offers comics artwork, illustration and cartoon exhibits, by comics masters, renowned authors and by new talents, also providing a space for discussion panels where new releases were presented, upcoming projects previewed and previous works highlighted. And lastly, AMAC also hosted a large Artists Alley where visitors could chat with the authors there and request autographs.

For my part, after my comics exhibit in 2018, I'm now participating with a show of children/youth illustrations from my projects Shuffled Cats, Tales of Wisdom and others. I also integrated the collective Initiation to Sequential Art, with samples of my students final works from those comics courses, to be published soon in the anthology BD Montijo, for which I also created the cover image.

 

BDteca '2019: Exhibit and Workshops / Exposição e Workshops

Está a decorrer em Odemira, até 28 de Fevereiro, a 13ª edição da mostra de banda desenhada daquele município. O BDteca'2019 tem o programa disponível para consulta online e, entre as exposições Sonho, de Susa Monteiro, e as mostras documentais Jorge Magalhães (1938-2018) e Stan Lee (1922-2018), dedicada aos respectivos autores que nos deixaram no ano passado, também eu fui convidada a expor uma selecção de trabalhos na exposição Susana Resende aos Quadradinhos, que ficará patente na Biblioteca Municipal José Saramago (Odemira) entre 2 e 21 de Fevereiro.

Para além desta participação, fui ainda convidada a integrar o júri do Concurso de BD que a cidade promove, e a realizar dois workshops dedicados aos Fundamentais da Banda Desenhada, no dia 15/2 para o público escolar e no dia 23/2 para o grande público (que requer inscrição prévia). The 13th edition of Odemira's comics festival is currently taking place, until February 28th. BDteca'2019 has its program available for on-line consultation and, aside from Susa Monteiro's Sonho/Dream exhibit and the documentary exhibitions Jorge Magalhães (1938-2018) and Stan Lee (1922-2018), dedicated to these respective authors that have left us last year, I was invited also to showcase a selection of artworks in the exhibit Susana Resende ao Quadradinhos/Susana Resende in Panels, which can be visited in José Saramago Municipal Library (Odemira) from February 2nd to 21th.

In addition to this, I was also invited to join the jury for the Comics Competition the city promotes and to host two workshops regarding the Fundamentals of Comics Art, on 2/15 for the school audience and on 2/23 for the general public (which requires prior registration). I Barreiro IlustraBD - Encontro com Autores / Meeting with Authors

Foi há quase duas semanas que teve lugar o Encontro com Autores, integrado no programa do 1º Barreiro IlustraBD, a mais recente iniciativa alusiva à banda desenhada e artes relacionadas no país, sendo actualmente o único evento do género a decorrer na margem sul do Tejo.

Convidada pela organização – composta pelo criador da exposição, o ilustrador/editor João Raz, e pela administração do AMAC/Auditório Municipal Augusto Cabrita, dirigido por Celeste Beirão –, integrei a colectiva de 40 autores e, no dia em causa, juntei-me à vintena de autores presentes participando nas actividades propostas ao público, tais como visita guiada ao espaço, recebendo os visitantes para autógrafos e realizando uma breve conversa com o João Raz e Paulo Monteiro, autor/director da Bedeteca de Beja, sobre as minhas experiências recentes na coordenação de dois cursos de BD para a Câmara Municipal de Montijo.

O encontro foi um sucesso, repleto de visitantes e com um excelente ambiente entre os autores, que apreciaram o fantástico trabalho realizado na preparação das exposições. Pela minha parte, expus uma selecção de BDs curtas e de desenhos criados para a série Aurora Boreal, por José de Matos-Cruz, cuja heroína fui convidada a conceber.

Paralelamente, pude também lançar comercialmente a minha mais recente produção, o baralho de cartas ilustrado Gatos Baralhados, que pura e simplesmente “voaram”, terminando o dia com um punhado de itens do stock que havia levado – obrigado, desde já, a todos os fãs!

A exposição estará patente no AMAC até 14 de Outubro. A entrada é grátis, de 3ªf. a Domingo (14h-20h).

It was nearly two weeks ago that the Meeting with Authors took place, integrated in the program of the 1st Barreiro IlustraBD, the most recent initiative regarding comics and related arts in Portugal, currently being the only such event taking place in Tagus south bay.Invited by the organization – composed of exhibits creator, the illustrator/editor João Raz, and the administration of AMAC/Augusto Cabrita Municipal Auditorium, directed by Celeste Beirão –, I integrated the collective of 40 authors and, on the day in question, joined the twenty authors participating in the activities proposed to the public, such as a guided tour, meeting with visitors for autographs and holding a brief conversation with João Raz and Paulo Monteiro, author/director of Beja's Comics Library, about my recent experiences in coordinating two comics courses for Montijo's Municipality.

 
The day was a success, filled with visitors and having an excellent vybe among the authors, who appreciated the fantastic work done in the preparation of the exhibits. For my part, I presented a selection of short comics pages and drawings created for the Aurora Boreal series, by José de Matos-Cruz, whose character I was invited to design.At the same time, I was also able to release my latest production, the illustrated deck of cards Gatos Baralhados/Shuffled Cats, which simply "flew" off the table, ending the day with only a handful of items from the stock I had taken – thank you all so much!The exhibit will be held at AMAC until October 14th. The entrance is free and accessible from Tuesday to Sunday (14h-20h).

Montijo: Aulas de Desenho / Drawing Classes

Terminou este mês a minha colaboração na Universidade Sénior do Montijo, como formadora convidada a coordenar a disciplina de Iniciação ao Desenho. Integrada no curso de Artes deste ano lectivo, baptizado de Modos de Ver, fizeram também parte deste curso as disciplinas de Pintura, por Guida Casella, Estampagem, por António Miguel Coelho, e História da Arte, por Fernanda Birrento.
Infelizmente, devido a condicionantes do serviço, as disciplinas foram limitadas a uma sessão por mês, o que tornou as aulas desafiantes. Porém, partindo de noções básicas para compreensão da forma e gesto, avancei para exercícios mais concretos de aplicação de conhecimentos, focados em retrato, como forma de incitar nos alunos a procura pela expressão. Alguns dos desenhos integraram a mostra colectiva de final do ano, no Museu Casa Mora – Sala Azul (Montijo).

Embora não vá ter disponibilidade para repetir a experiência no próximo ano lectivo, foi uma oportunidade única, que também me permitiu usufruir da infraestrutura na Casa Senhorial da Quinta do Saldanha, onde está inserida a Univ. Sénior, onde, por curiosidade, me estreei com uma exposição individual em 2005, com telas do tema Paisagem.

This month wrapped-up my collaboration at the Senior University of Montijo, as a teacher invited to coordinate the Initiation to Drawing class. Integrated in the Arts course of this academic year, baptized of Ways of Viewing, also part of this course were the subjects of Painting, by Guida Casella, Serigraphy, by António Miguel Coelho, and History of Art, by Fernanda Birrento.
Unfortunately, due to service constraints, all the courses were limited to one session per month, which made the classes challenging. However, starting from basic notions for understanding the form and gesture, I moved on to more concrete knowledge applying exercises, focused on portraits, as a way to incite students to search for expression. A sellection of drawings were integrated in a collective exhibit, at the Museum Casa Mora – Sala Azul (Montijo).
Although I will not be available to repeat the experience in the next school year, it was a unique opportunity, which also allowed me to enjoy the infrastructure in Quinta do Saldanha's House, where the Senior University resides, and where, just out of curiosity, I held my very first individual exhibition back in 2005, with Landscape themed paintings.
 

Reviewing 2017: Presentation of Contos de Sabedoria | Revendo 2017: Apresentação de Contos de Sabedoria

Sem ter oportunidade para fazer o devido destaque na sequência do evento, decidi que “antes tarde do que nunca” e eis que partilho a minha participação no lançamento do livro Contos de Sabedoria, que teve lugar a 15/12.

A sessão solene, presidida pelo Eng. Nuno Canta, presidente da câmara municipal do Montijo, e pelo escritor Américo Dimas Netto, teve lugar na Galeria Municipal da cidade, perante uma sala cheia, para presenciar o lançamento do livro Contos de Sabedoria / Misoso ia Kuijia, cuja edição contou com o apoio da autarquia. Na ocasião, estiveram expostos os meus desenhos originais, que ilustraram a capa do livro e capas de capítulo.

A obra, dirigida ao público juvenil, visa louvar e referenciar a tradição oral bantu, narrando a história de vida do Soba António Makulama, enquanto este conta às crianças da sua aldeia a história de Angola, desde tempos imemoriais até aos nossos dias, traçando a evolução das gentes e cultura angolana.

Without the opportunity to upload a spotlight in the wake of the event, I figured that it's “better late than never” and so I'm sharing my participation in the presentation of the book Tales of Wisdom, that took place on 15/12.

The presentation session, presided by Eng. Nuno Canta, the mayor of Montijo, and writer Américo Dimas Netto, took place in the city's Municipal Gallery, with a crowded room to witness the launch of the book Contos de Sabedoria / Tales of Wisdom, an edition with the backing of the city hall. At the occasion, I had my original drawings exhibited, from the book cover illustration to the chapter cover drawings.

The book, aimed at youth audience, aims to praise and refer to the Bantu oral tradition, narrating the life story of Soba António Makulama, while he tells the children of his village the history of Angola, from time immemorial to the present day, covering the evolution of Angolan people and culture.

Reviewing 2017: Portuguese Panels / Revendo 2017: Quadradrinhos Portugueses

Sem ter oportunidade para fazer o devido destaque na sequência do evento, decidi que “antes tarde do que nunca” e eis que partilho a minha participação na mostra colectiva Quadradinhos Portugueses, que teve lugar de 24/7 a 04/9.

Começo por agradecer ao comissário da colectiva, José de Matos-Cruz, e ao coordenador do evento, a Bairro dos Museus, pelo convite e excelente organização que realizaram, da qual muito me lisonjeou fazer parte.

Integrando uma mostra de treze autores, entre os quais se listavam veteranos da BD portuguesa e renomados talentos das novas gerações, os meus trabalhos contribuiram com uma visão mais plástica nesta selecção de arte sequêncial, patente na galeria Cidadela Art District. Entre ilustrações para as séries Aurora Boreal e O Infante Portugal, escritas por Matos-Cruz, expus pranchas de BDs publicadas na antologia Zona Nippon 2, e revistas Gerador #6 e CAIS #212 (escrita por André Oliveira).

A exposição Quadradinhos Portugueses: Olhares & Estilos, teve lugar na Cidadela de Cascais e foi visitada por mais de 2 mil pessoas, tendo incluído obras dos autores Baptista Mendes, Daniel Maia, Fernando Vilhena de Mendonça, João Amaral, João Mascarenhas, José Garcês, José Ruy, Luís Diferr, Pedro Massano, Penim Loureiro, Renato Abreu, Susana Resende e Victor Mesquita. Without the opportunity to upload a spotlight in the wake of the event, I figured that it's "better late than never" and so I'm sharing here my participation in the collective exhibit Quadradinhos Portugueses / Portuguese Panels, that took place from 24/7 to 04/9.
I'd like to start by thanking the collective's commissary, José de Matos-Cruz, and the event's promoter, Bairro dos Museus, for the invitation and for their excellent organization, of which I was flattered to be a part.

Included in a show of thirteen great authors, alongside Portuguese comics veterans and renowned talents from new generations, my works contributed with a feminine and plastic outlook for the selection of sequential art, held in the gallery Cidadela Art District. Between illustrations for the series Aurora Boreal and The Infante Portugal, written by Matos-Cruz, I showcased works of short comics published in the anthology Zona Nippon 2, and magazines Gerador #6 and CAIS #212 (written by André Oliveira).

The exhibit Portuguese Panels: Visions & Styles took place in the Cascais' Citadel and was visited by over 2 thousand people, and featued works by authors Baptista Mendes, Daniel Maia, Fernando Vilhena de Mendonça, João Amaral, João Mascarenhas, José Garcês, José Ruy, Luis Diferr, Pedro Massano, Penim Loureiro, Renato Abreu, Susana Resende and Victor Mesquita. Reviewing 2017 / Revendo 2017: XIII FIBDB

Sem ter oportunidade para fazer o devido destaque na sequência do evento, decidi que “antes tarde do que nunca” e eis que partilho a minha participação no XIII FIBDB/Festival Internacional de BD de Beja, que teve lugar de 26/5 a 11/6.

Antes de mais, quero agradecer a amizade e imenso apoio do director/autor Paulo Monteiro e toda a sua equipe, bem como à Câmara Municipal de Beja, pelo convite para figurar no cartaz do evento e para partilhar os meus trabalhos com os visitantes.

Além da exposição colectiva Daniel Maia & Susana Resende, patente na Galeria dos Escudeiros, no centro histórico da cidade, que expôs trabalhos alusivos aos projectos O Infante Portugal e Aurora Boreal, criados por José de Matos-Cruz, pude também apresentar a novidade Aurora Boreal e O Instinto Supremo (Apenas Livros) e a antevisão d'O Infante Portugal em Universos Reunidos (Kafre-Arga Warga), sendo estas as personagens a dominar a sessão de autógrafos que eu e o Daniel Maia realizámos no largo do Museu Regional.

Complementando as duas apresentações, no auditório do Teatro Pax Julia, participei ainda na conversa Um Olhar sob a BD Portuguesa, moderada por Bruno Caetano, com os autores Daniel Maia, Jorge Coelho e Ricardo Venâncio.

Without the opportunity to upload a spotlight in the wake of the event, I figured that it's "better late than never" and so I'm sharing here my participation in the XIII FIBDB/Beja International Comics Festival, that took place from 26/5 to 11/6.

First of all, I want to thank director/authorPaulo Monteiro for his friendship and immense support, and also all of his team, as well as Beja's City Hall, for the invitation to feature in the events' lineup, granting me the chance to share my artwork with the visitors.
In addition to the collective exhibit Daniel Maia & Susana Resende, held at Galeria dos Escudeiros, in the city's historic center, which featured works related to The Infante Portugal and Aurora Boreal projects, created by José de Matos-Cruz, I also presented the new release Aurora Boreal and The Supreme Instinct (Apenas Livros) and preview of The Infante Portugal in Gathered Universes (Kafre-Arga Warga), these being the characters that dominated the autographs session that I and Daniel Maia carried out in the Regional Museum public square.

Complementing those two presentations, in the auditorium of Theater Pax Julia, I also participated in the discussion panel A Look into Portuguese Comics, moderated by Bruno Caetano, alongside authors Daniel Maia, Jorge Coelho and Ricardo Venâncio.
