Este
ano, a minha participação no Festival
Internacional de Banda Desenhada de Beja
esteve ligada a três projetos: participei na apresentação da
vindoura
novela gráfica Eduardo
Lourenço: Ficção de Si,
um biopic
e exploração fantástica
deste conceituado pensador português, escrita por Diogo Figueira e
Sabrina D. Marques, desenhado por Daniel Maia e com cor minhas,
produzido por Longshot/Edicarte; promovi
a antologia Abril,
Cravos Mil,
criada pela TágIIde e editada pela Câmara Municipal do Montijo,
cujo livro paginei
e ilustrei
a capa;
e apoiei a novela gráfica Quaresma,
o Decifrador:
A Morte de Dom
João,
de Mário André, adaptando o conto policial de Fernando Pessoa, cujo
grafismo também criei e paginei, mais legendei
(tal como fiz com os dois volumes anteriores).
Tive
também a oportunidade de dar autógrafos – lado a lado com o
grande Miquelanxo Prado – e de conviver com muitos amigos e colegas
queridos.

grande, como sempre!
This
year, my participation in Beja’s
International Comics Festival
was tied to three projects: I participated in the presentation of the
upcoming graphic novel Eduardo
Lourenço: Fiction of Himself,
a biopic and fantasy exploration of this portuguese renowned thinker,
written by Diogo Figueira and Sabrina D. Marques, drawn by Daniel
Maia and with colors by me, produced by Longshot/Edicarte; I promoted
the anthology April,
Carnation Showers,
created by TágIIde and published by Montijo City, which I book
designed and cover illustrated; and I supported the graphic novel
Quaresma,
the Decifer: The Death of Don Jon,
by Mário André, adapting the Fernando Pessoa detective short story,
which I lettered and book designed (as I done with the previous two
volumes).
I
also had the opportunity to sign autographs – rubbing shoulders
with the great Miquelanxo Prado – and mingle with many dear friends
and colleagues.
My

for organizing such a great festival, as always!
