A nível comercial, fiquei feliz por ter esgotado dois lotes das impressões com os meus 3 Palhaços, e por esgotar os novos baralhos de cartas ilustrados, Baralhas de Cães, publicados pela Apenas Livros, que lancei naquele evento.
Não sobrou nem um artigo para mim... E alegra-me salientar que o baralho de 2018 encontra-se agora tecnicamente esgotado!
Foi ainda recompensador opinar sobre os portfolios dos novos artistas que me abordaram nesse sentido. Adorei também conhecer a classe de artistas portugueses que compôs a maioria do mercado geek e privar com os colegas Joe Prado, Ivan Reis, Greg Tocchini, Raúl Allen e Patrícia Martin; uma oportunidade única, que se sublinhou no jantar de despedida que fizemos alguns dias depois, já recuperados da exaustão.
Parabéns à organização do CCPT por mais um fenomenal evento, único no país e essencial para todas as formas de celebrar a cultura pop e a banda desenhada que ali são possíveis. Sem negar que alguns detalhes precisam de melhoria, é claro para mim que os aspectos positivos ultrapassam os menos conseguidos, razão porque este ano decidi marcar presença na convenção a nível independente, após o amável convite recebido em 2018.
Comic Con Portugal wrapped-up a week ago and it's time for an aftermath. I begin by thanking all the fans and visitors who approached me at the Artists Alley, where I accompanied author Daniel Maia, as well as those who acquired my artworks. It's
always so wonderful to get to chat and feel your appreciation for my
work.
On a commercial level, I was happy to have soldout two batches of my 3 Clowns high-quality prints that I made exclusively for CCPT, as well as the new illustrated decks of cards, Dog Shuffles, published by Apenas Livros, that I released at the event. There wasn't even one single item left for myself... And I'm also happy to point out that the 2018's deck of cards is now technically soldout!It was rewarding to give portfolio reviews to newcomer artists who approached me in that regard. I also loved meeting the Portuguese class of artists that made up the majority of the Geek Market and mingling with international colleagues, such as Joe Prado, Ivan Reis, Greg Tocchini, Raúl Allen and Patricia Martin; an unique opportunity, which was underlined at the farewell dinner we had a few days later, after we had recovered.
Congratulations to the CCPT' organization for another phenomenal event, unique in our country and essential for all forms of celebrating pop culture and comics that were possible there. Without denying that some details need improvement, it is clear to me that the positive aspects outweigh the negative ones, which is why this year I decided to attend the convention independently, after the kind invitation received back in 2018.
