O 4º Barreiro IlustraBD, inaugura a 15 de Abril e decorre até 4 de Junho no Auditório Municipal Augusto Cabrita (14h-19h), e este ano apresenta um novo formato, apostando, sobretudo, em exposições individuais. O salão apostará também em novos estilos, diversificando da temática fantástica predominante nas edições anteriores: através de parceria com a Penguin Books, expõe Balada Para Sophie, de Filipe Melo e Juan Cavia; o autor António Jorge Gonçalves apresenta a exposição “Desenhar Do Escuro;” Marco Mendes traz-nos o biopic Juventude; e a editora Ala dos Livros apresenta a sua mostra colectiva “Ala Portuguesa,” com a participação dos autores Luís Louro, Marcos Calhorda, Daniel Maia, Diogo Campos e Hugo Teixeira, e ainda os mestres Jorge Magalhães e Augusto Trigo, e também eu, como colorista da capa de CoBrA: Operação Goa.
O autor da imagem gráfica será ao autor barreirense Ricardo Reis e será homenageado o artista Eugénio Silva, nativo do Barreiro, que faleceu em 2022.
O 4º Barreiro IlustraBD decorre no AMAC e expande-se na Galeria da Biblioteca Municipal (22 Abril) e no Auditório Manuel Cabanas (29 Abril), e vai incluir uma Feira do Livro com sessões de autógrafos, ciclos de colóquios, workshops e sessões de cinema. A entrada é gratuita.
The 4th Barreiro IlustraBD, opens on April 15th and runs until the June 4th, at Augusto Cabrita Municipal Auditorium (2pm-7pm), and this year presents a new format, focusing mainly on individual exhibitions. The show will also invest in new styles, diversifying from the fantastic theme predominant in previous editions: through partnership with Penguin Books, it will exhibit Balad for Sophie, by Filipe Melo and Juan Cavia; author António Jorge Gonçalves presents the exhibition “Drawing the Dark;” Marco Mendes brings us the biopic Juventude; and the publisher Ala dos Livros presents its collective exhibition “Ala Portuguesa,” with the participation of authors Luís Louro, Marcos Calhorda, Daniel Maia, Diogo Campos and Hugo Teixeira, and also the masters Jorge Magalhães and Augusto Trigo, plus myself, as colorist of CoBrA: Operation Goa’s wraparound cover.
The
author of the graphic image will be local author Ricardo Reis and the
artist Eugénio Silva, a native of Barreiro, who died at the end of
2022, will be homaged.
The
4th Barreiro IlustraBD takes place at AMAC and expands to the
Municipal Library Gallery (April 22) and the Manuel Cabanas
Auditorium (April 29), and will include a Book Fair with autograph
sessions, cycles of colloquiums, workshops and movie theater. Entry
is free.
