O
1º curso de banda desenhada no Montijo terminou há pouco mais de
uma semana e, entretanto, já arrancou o 2º Iniciação à Arte
Sequencial – a decorrer de 29 Junho a 27 Julho – com mais um
grupo de quinze formandos, prestes a ser introduzidos no fantástico
mundo da BD, através desta formação de 40h que coordeno, a convite
da Câmara Municipal do Montijo.
Mas
antes de me debruçar sob o novo curso, importa fazer um rescaldo do
original, que foi concluído com a proverbial chave-de-ouro, com a
presença de Penim Loureiro. Autor das obras Cidade Suspensa (Polvo)
e Reportagem Especial (ClimAdaPT.local), com a qual venceu o prémio
de Melhor Desenho no XV Troféus Central Comics, Penim participou na
última sessão do atelier revelando aos alunos o seu processo
artístico e principais referências criativas, e auxiliando-os com
as suas próprias produções em BD.
Resta
agradecer também o empenho dos formandos, que, além de excelentes
pessoas, demonstraram um grande interesse e entrega ao longo deste
seminal curso, aqui na cidade. Visto que os irei acompanhar na
conclusão das suas obras curtas nos meses que se avizinham,
despedimo-nos com um “até já...!”
The 1st comics course in
Montijo wrapped up a little over a week ago and, in the meantime, the
II Initiation to Sequencial Art course has already began – going
from June 29th to July 27th –, with another group of fifteen
students, ready to be introduced to the world of comics production
through this class of 40h, that I'm coordinating after an invitation
by Montijo's Municipality.
But before I address this
new course, an aftermath of the original is in order, with it having
been concluded in great fashion with the presence of Penim Loureiro.
Author of the graphic novels Suspended City (Polvo) and Special
Report (ClimAdaPT.local), which earned him the award for Best Artist
at the XV Central Comics Trophees, Penim partook in the workshop's
final class, showing the students his artistic process and creative
references, plus helping them out with their comics stories.
I also want to thank my
students for all of their hard work and interest throughout this
seminal course, here in town. Seeing as I will be accompaning their
short-comics progressions over the coming months, we'll just part
ways with a “See ya soon!...”
